Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Determine job requirements
  2. Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
  3. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
  4. Identify job requirements from specifications, drawings, job sheets or work instructions
  5. Check pneumatic system components
  6. Inspect and test the operational function of each component
  7. Assess correct operation of each component against specifications
  8. Identify, repair or replace faulty pneumatic system components
  9. Dismantle faulty system components and repair to manufacturers'/site specifications
  10. Select replacement parts from appropriate sources
  11. Reassemble system components and verify for correct operation and test against specifications
  12. Confirm correct operation of the pneumatic system according to SOPs
  13. Adopt appropriate follow-up procedures
  14. Complete service reports
